Recovery from the Impacts of Trauma and PTSD
I support individuals and couples who continue to experience the effects of past trauma and feel ready to work toward healing and growth. With over 12 years of experience treating complex trauma (C-PTSD), I bring depth, skill, and understanding to the therapeutic process. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have extensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), both of which are highly effective approaches for trauma recovery.
As a trauma-informed clinician, I emphasize safety and collaboration, ensuring we move at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to provide a compassionate, steady presence along with thoughtful guidance and support throughout your healing journey.
Individuals: I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing the ongoing impacts of past trauma and are ready to heal and move forward. I have over 12 years of experience working with complex trauma (C-PTSD). I am certified in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and am also trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (Level 2). I believe both of these approaches are powerful tools to heal past trauma.
Couples: I specialize in helping couples understand the role of attachment in their relationship and uncover how unresolved trauma may be impacting the couple and creating barriers to intimacy. I enjoy helping couples heal together so they can experience increased communication, connection, and joy in their relationship. I incorporate EFT, Gottman, and IFS/IFIO approaches in my work with couples and have extensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFIO) approach to couples therapy.
I believe that you are the expert when it comes to your needs and goals for therapy. I use a strengths-based approach that encourages you to access the abilities and resources you have to promote healing. I have experience working with multiple concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma including sexual trauma and domestic violence. I also specialize in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships.
Understanding and addressing the impact of inequity and intersectionality on mental health is an important foundation for healing and I approach my work from this framework. I work with individuals, couples, and teenagers. I am accepting a limited number of new clients. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you to achieve your goals for your mental health.
